Run payroll and HR the compliant way

Two Excel tools built for Trinidad & Tobago small businesses, so you can handle payroll and HR records correctly without a dedicated HR department.

PayPro TT

Payroll for Trinidad & Tobago, with NIS, PAYE and Health Surcharge worked out for you.

What it does

  • Employee Master: Enter each employee's details and pay once. All other tabs read from here, so nothing is typed twice.
  • Payroll Register: The full payroll for each period, with gross pay, every deduction and net pay.
  • Payslips: A payslip for each employee, generated from the register.
  • NIS Calculator: Employer and employee shares at the current 16.2% rate (about 10.8% employer, 5.4% employee), up to the maximum insurable earnings.
  • PAYE Calculator: Income tax after the TT$90,000 personal allowance.
  • Health Surcharge: The weekly deduction, up to TT$8.25.
  • Overtime Tracker: Overtime hours and pay at the statutory rates for eligible workers.
  • Monthly Remittance: A summary of what to pay the National Insurance Board and the Board of Inland Revenue by the 15th of each month.
  • Instructions: A plain-language how-to guide built into the workbook.

Who it's for: Owners and office managers who run payroll themselves and want the statutory deductions right every month.

HRPro TT

Your employee records, leave, performance, training and discipline in one organised workbook.

What it does

  • Employee Master: One record per employee, including salary, pay frequency, NIS number and BIR number. Every other tab updates from it.
  • Employment Details: An automatic view of each employee's employment information, pulled from the Employee Master.
  • Leave Tracker: Vacation and other leave balances. An optional Vacation Tenure Ladder on the Setup tab gives more vacation days with longer service. It is off by default, and the three tiers can be edited (for example 14 days for 0 to 4 years, 17 days for 5 to 9 years, 21 days for 10 years or more).
  • Performance: Review records for each employee, with department filled in automatically.
  • Training Register: Courses and training completed, by employee and department.
  • Disciplinary Register: A dated record of warnings and outcomes, which supports a fair, documented process if a case reaches the Industrial Court.
  • Setup: Company settings in one place.
  • Instructions: A plain-language how-to guide built into the workbook.

Who it's for: SMEs without an HR department that need proper records and a clear audit trail.

Built on one source of truth

In both tools you enter each employee once, in the Employee Master, and every other tab updates from it automatically. Change a salary or a NIS number in one place and the payroll register, payslips, leave balances and reports all follow, so records stay consistent and nothing is typed twice.
